Flame retardant fabric, also known as chemical flame retardant fabric, is a standard fabric that has undergone special flame retardant coating treatment. They will burn, but at a much slower rate than untreated standard fabrics.
Flame retardancy is divided into three categories: flame retardancy (FR), intrinsic flame retardancy (IFR), and persistent flame retardancy (DFR).
Flame retardant fabrics are made of typical synthetic fibers and can resist combustion under prolonged exposure to flames or high temperatures. Due to this structure, they are sometimes referred to as inherently flame retardant fabrics. These fabrics will eventually begin to melt instead of burn. The degree of inherent flame-retardant fibers in flame-retardant fabrics can vary greatly from the percentage of fibers to the complete structure, depending on the manufacturer.
Advantages: After 200 washes, the flame retardant does not decay
